Terms of Use

Last updated: May 2026

1. About Maestr

Maestr (“we”, “our”, or “the Platform”) is a financial technology platform operating in the Arab Republic of Egypt. We help users scan and verify e-invoices issued through Egypt's Tax Authority (ETA) electronic invoicing system and connect them with licensed financing partners who offer Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) installment plans. Maestr acts solely as a facilitator and intermediary — we are not a lender, bank, or financial institution, and we do not extend credit directly.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Maestr platform — whether through our web application or mobile app — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, and any other applicable policies. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

3. Eligibility

To use Maestr you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be an Egyptian national holding a valid Egyptian national ID.
  • Have a valid Egyptian mobile phone number capable of receiving SMS verification codes.
  • Hold a bank account with a bank operating in Egypt.
  • Not be subject to any legal prohibition that would prevent you from entering into financial agreements under Egyptian law.

By using the platform you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements above.

4. Account Registration and Authentication

Access to Maestr is authenticated via a one-time password (OTP) sent to your registered Egyptian mobile number using Supabase authentication services. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your device and any access credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at support@maestr-cashback.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

5. Platform Services

Maestr provides the following services:

  • E-invoice verification: Scanning and validating e-invoices from Egypt's Tax Authority electronic invoicing portal by UUID and issue date.
  • BNPL offer facilitation: Presenting installment financing offers from our licensed financing partners based on your verified invoice data.
  • Payout processing: Coordinating the transfer of financed amounts to your registered bank account upon approval by a financing partner.

Maestr does not guarantee that financing offers will be available for any particular invoice, amount, or user. All financing decisions are made exclusively by our financing partners, not by Maestr.

6. User Obligations

You agree that you will:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information including your name, Egyptian national ID number, phone number, and bank account details.
  • Only submit e-invoices that are genuine, belong to you, and have not been submitted for financing elsewhere.
  • Not attempt to defraud Maestr, its financing partners, or any third party.
  • Not use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Egyptian law.
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the platform's operation.
  • Promptly notify us of any changes to your personal or banking information.

Any submission of false or misleading information may result in immediate suspension of your account and may be reported to the relevant Egyptian authorities.

7. Data Accuracy

The accuracy and validity of e-invoice data displayed on the platform depends on information retrieved from Egypt's Tax Authority system. Maestr is not responsible for errors, delays, or unavailability of data from third-party systems including the ETA portal. You are solely responsible for confirming that the invoice data submitted through Maestr is correct before proceeding with any financing application.

8. Financing Arrangements

Financing offers presented through Maestr are provided by independent, licensed financing partners. When you accept a financing offer, you enter into a direct contractual relationship with that financing partner, not with Maestr. Maestr is not a party to any financing agreement and bears no liability for the terms, performance, or conduct of any financing partner. You should carefully review the terms of any financing offer before accepting.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, software, and materials on the Maestr platform are the intellectual property of Maestr or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Egyptian law, Maestr and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of income, loss of data, or failure to obtain financing. Maestr's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount of any fees actually paid by you to Maestr in the three months preceding the claim.

11. Suspension and Termination

Maestr reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, with or without notice, if we have reason to believe you have violated these Terms, provided false information, or engaged in fraudulent activity. We may also suspend the platform for maintenance or regulatory compliance purposes.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The updated version will be posted in the app with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the platform after any update constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
